What we do
Douglas and Bonnie work together on most projects, taking roles that complement each other. Bonnie has been formally training with Douglas for over two years, taking increasing responsibility for each aspect of the work.
In addition to the core shared teaching roles, they each have specialist areas of focus. Douglas trains young people in setting up and operating theatre lights and sound equipment including creating sound effects and soundscapes. Bonnie designs set dressings and costumes, and is a qualified graphic designer creating publicity materials, websites and programmes for our community productions.
So what exactly do we offer?
-
We take a group of up to twenty young people, an original script and a suitable venue, creating a full-length stage production with three public performances, all in two intensive weeks.
What’s the point? Self-confidence, collaboration, achieving the impossible, the thrill of entertaining an adult audience live on stage. Check our testimonials to see what our young people say!

Oh, and we don’t do musicals. -
Our drama skills workshops are tailor made for each group we work with. Children from age seven right through to young adults benefit from our focussed and intentional approach, gently encouraging participants to find a creative edge, take a risk, engage in new and meaningful ways.
Workshops can range from a couple of hours to a number of successive days working together. Some examples of workshop content:General drama skills for self-confidence
