All it takes is two weeks…

We take a group of up to twenty young people, an original script and a suitable venue, creating a full-length stage production with three public performances, all in two intensive weeks.

Some of our young people have never acted before, others return year after year to repeat and build on the experience. Every cast member has a character role, and the cast as a whole is responsible for all the backstage arrangements - no adult helpers backstage in our productions.

For those less keen on performance we train young people aged 13+ to set up and operate lighting and sound equipment, plot lights, create sound effects and run the tech desk for performances.

Our cast members are involved in every aspect of production; costume, props, stage design, stage management, publicity, as well as performing the shows to full house audiences at the end of the project.

To achieve this we partner with enthusiastic local volunteer groups who organise fundraising, cast registrations, venue hire, and liaise with us about all production elements.

“Learning to work together so closely and intensely in a group on something where you can feel very vulnerable is huge. Discovering that even though it’s hard and sometimes you feel like giving up, all the hard work is so worth it in the end. You find you’re capable of more than what you believed of yourself.”
